He closed his encore with a cover of Petty's 1991 song 'Learning To Fly,' reports Billboard.
Petty, who would have turned 67 on October 21, died October 2 in Los Angeles.
Dylan and Petty played together in the 'Traveling Wilburys', the rock supergroup that also featured Roy Orbison and George Harrison.
The pair also performed in 1986 on Dylan's 'True Confessions' tour, which resulted in the concert film 'Hard to Handle'.
The 76-year-old spoke emotionally about Petty after his death. "It's shocking, crushing news," he told Rolling Stone.
"I thought the world of Tom. He was a great performer, full of the light, a friend, and I'll never forget him."
In years past, Dylan has occasionally delivered tributes to late friends and artists like Warren Zevon ('Mutineer' and others), Link Wray ('Rumble') and fellow Wilburys 'brother' George Harrison ('Something') onstage. (ANI)
