New Delhi [India], Oct. 17 (ANI): Mayim Bialik, who wrote the now infamous op-ed column 'Being a Feminist in Harvey Weinstein's World', has finally responded to the backlash she has been getting after writing that piece.
While writing an op-ed column for a leading U.S. daily, the critics alleged that she blamed victims for their experiences with sexual assault.
She took to Twitter and addressed the controversy that has been stirred because of that column.
In the post, she thanked everyone for the valuable feedback.
She also shared that some people have twisted her words to imply that she would blame a woman for her assault based on her clothing or behavior.
Bialik penned a lengthy piece in the wake of the ongoing Weinstein sexual harassment scandal. Describing how she avoided the disturbing encounters fellow peers endured, the former child star touched upon her dress code and mannerisms.
She tweeted, @missmayim I have to say I was dressed non provocatively at 12 walking home from school when men masturbated at me. It's not the clothes.
