London [UK], August 8 (ANI): Meghan Markle has not made it to this year's Vogue UK's top 25 list of influential women, while, the Queen with her services to the public has secured a coveted spot on the list.
According to Page Six, the magazine editors have chosen to feature the Queen on the list, as she has been a "source of support" to the public during the coronavirus crisis.
This year, the magazine introduced those women of the moment who are leading people through 2020 with "prescience, power, and poise."
On April 5, while the country was grappling with the virus, Queen Elizabeth II made a television address to the nation, and her "pitch-perfect message", ending with the promise "We will meet again", echoing the words of Vera Lynn, was watched by some 24 million people.

"Even in 2020 -- a precarious year for the Royal Family in other ways -- the Queen is still a source of unique solace and support to the public," the magazine wrote while describing why the Queen had secured a coveted spot on the list.
The Queen is the only member of the royal family to feature in Vogue's top 25 most powerful women list this year.
On the other hand, 2020 marks the first year, in which Markle hasn't featured on the list since she married into the royal family, despite guest-editing Vogue UK's September issue in 2019.
Last year, the American actor secured a spot on the coveted list -- and was praised for how she is "gently modernising the royal family."
In the 2020 edition, apart from the Queen, Daisy Edgar-Jones has been deemed the "star of lockdown" for her performance in hit BBC drama 'Normal People' while makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury and Michaela Coel are also featured. (ANI)
