Whiskey gets a sonic touch from Metallica

Washington DC, [USA] Aug 29 (ANI): In order to make their whiskey taste better, heavy metal band Metallica is set to blast each batch of their 'Blackened' alcohol with a specially designed playlist.
According to ultimate classic rock, a newly-launched website of the brand explained that after the whiskey is poured in the casks for its maturation phase, the alcohol will be sonically treated to the loud music of Metallica.
During its sonic treatment, the whiskey will seep deeper into the cask, thereby infusing a wooden flavour into it.
The whiskey brand will use a sonic enhancement system which is called the 'BLACK NOISE'.
Former distiller Dave Pickerell, who is the band's partner for the upcoming product and is well known for keeping his whiskeys in casks previously used to make other alcohols, has chosen a black brandy cask for Blackened.
According to him, an added flavour of apricot alongside the honey and caramel tones will do wonders in the increasingly crowded field of musician-curated spirits.
For all the whiskey aficionados out there, the band's alcohol can now be pre-ordered. The first batch of bottles is expected to ship in September.
A clothing line promoting the band's whiskey will also be available on their official website.
Nine-time Grammy award winner Metallica is well known for songs like 'Nothing else matters', 'Fade to black' and 'Turn the page' and has been consistently ranked by Time Magazine at no. 61 on its '100 Greatest Artists of All Time list'.(ANI)
