Witness the journey of women from restrictions to freedom

New Delhi [India], Nov 10 (ANI): "Metamorphosis - A Story of Women Empowerment" an art exhibition hosted by The American Center and Belita Design Solutions was recently inaugurated at The American Center, New Delhi by Chief Guest, Archana Chitnis, Minister of Women & Child Development, Madhya Pradesh.

Distinguished guest Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament, officials from the American Embassy, and a large assembly of art enthusiasts of the capital were present on the occasion.

Curated by Masooma Rizvi, the exhibition showcases a woman's journey from restriction to freedom.

Masooma Rizvi is a renowned art curator and interior designer who has worked on illustrious projects like Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra, Manekshaw Center, New Delhi and the Amar Jawan Jyoti, Jaipur.

Apart from that, Rizvi is a passionate champion for Human Rights in India and believes strongly in Women Empowerment. The exhibition is showcasing the work of 10 budding women artists from all over the country, with an impressive array of work.

Richard Pinkham, the director of programs at the American Center said: "The United States Government is a firm believer in the positive power of gender equality, and supporting these excellent artists and the story of their journey to empowerment is very much in keeping with our global goals. We hope Delhi's art enthusiasts take advantage of the opportunity to come to the Center to enjoy this wonderful exhibit."

"It has always been important for me to promote new talent and encourage innovations and ideas in the field of art and design and I take conscientious efforts for the same. Metamorphosis - A story of women empowerment is an exhibition that has a special place in my heart as it brings forth the journey of women as they struggle their way out of restrictions and move to gain freedom. I strongly believe that when we empower women, we empower their families as well. It is encouraging for all involved artists when an institution like The American Center gives them a platform and an eager audience," says Masooma Rizvi. (ANI)
