A fashion fuelled adrenaline rush sets the tone at IBFW 5

The press conference to mark the beginning of the IBFW Season 5 was well attended by the press present, both local and all India, where Pallav Ojha addressed them along with top designers Ken ferns and Anupama Dayal, adding to the anticipation.
The opening show by Anand Kabra set the excitement soaring. A master at marrying the traditional with the contemporary, Anand Kabra's skill shone through with his fabulous destination wedding collection at Como India Beach Fashion Week 2017.
The collection comprising mainly of festive separates, with jackets, crop tops, skirts and anarkalis. He didn't disappoint, but raised the bar with his vintage embroidery and prints in fabrics like chanderi, satin, georgette and silk. The layered silhouettes almost seemed to float and added an ethereal touch in ivory, black, red, ink and chartreuse.
Nidhi Munim's swim wear and cruise wear collection was young and energetic. Nidhi also launched her 2018 collection inspired by pure Grecian antiquity. Colours ranging from old rose, sand, olive and white, in soft soft drapes added glamour. Showstopper Waluscha Dsouza rocked the stage in her Grecian Inspired creation.
Anupama Dayal's collection, Le Optimiste, was a breath of fresh air. Uplifting and multidimensional, it is cruise wear that delights. Her love for tradition shone through with her patchwork, tassels, and bits of print and embroidery that added a playful and happy touch to her garments. A ramp to rack collection, it is cruise wear for the global traveller.
Vinisha made her debut with her Ethnic Bridal Collection with fabrics ranging from pure raw silk, net and georgette. Perfect detailing and hand work as well as stylish silhouettes made for a great debut show.
The much awaited COMO COLLECTIVE rocked the stage with the latest in swimwear, resort wear, cocktail as well as luxury pret collections, with the showcasing designers , Rocky S , Anupama Dayal and Manoviraj Khosla showing a trend setting collection. Edgy and stylish, it is new age fashion for all ages. (ANI)
