Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], November 14 (ANI): Multi-chain restaurant, Bombay Barbeque on 'World Food Day' invited children from the underprivileged sections of the society and treated them to a wholesome meal.

The famous multi-chain restaurant and grill had brilliantly struck an idea to initiate change and help manage the food crisis in the country on their own on October 16, in a unique manner.

Bombay Barbeque's goal in performing this extravagant plan of action was to give a complete food experience to the poor people of the society.

Bombay Barbeque and its skilled set of team members on October 16 ventured out into areas of Mumbai which are stricken with hunger and poverty. The team set out on a hunt that morning and invited poor and hungry individuals to the Bombay Barbeque Andheri outlet between 4 pm to 6 pm.

On completion of their meals, they were given a take away Jalebis gift box.

"We're very happy that we conducted such a wonderful activity by helping the poor street kids. It was a small step towards CSR as we wanted to spread happiness on World Food Day and not just by donating food, we thought of giving few street kids a once in a lifetime experience. We promise to take this initiative to the next level by doing our bit in future because we believe "food should be for all," said Marketing Manager, Bombay Barbeque, Anupama Kanojia. (ANI)
