New Delhi [India], Jul 14 (ANI): She may be spending only 36 hours in Paris, but U.S. First Lady Melania Trump is making a lasting impression through her wardrobe. Since her arrival, the 47-year-old has been celebrating the French style and showing elegance in midi hemlines and long-sleeved jackets. Trump touched down in Paris sporting a traditional red Christian Dior skirt-suit that paid homage to the French fashion house's groundbreaking 'New Look' style revolution in the late 1940's, which is now known as the 'Bar' suit.

. @FLOTUS today in Paris wearing a red @Dior suit, an homage to the designer's Bar ensemble from his 1st collection in 1947. Herve Pierre, a French-American fashion designer, is the U.S. First Lady's go-to designer for custom-made clothes. The First Ladies enjoyed the dinner at Le Jules Verne in French labels with Melania wearing a bespoke Herve Pierre red, white and navy blue cocktail dress, paired with black stilettos and perfectly tousled hair and Macron sporting a mini-dress from Louis Vuitton featuring a floral pattern and a high neck collar. Melania Trump's Dior-inspired dress nodded toward both the American and French flags on the eve of Bastille Day, France's national day of celebration.

#FLOTUS Melania Trump wore a custom made Herve Pierre white, blue and red dress tonight. h/t @edwardbarsamian
??
