Miss India Tourism Ishika Taneja gives makeover to acid attack survivors on International Women's Day

New Delhi [India], Mar 6 (ANI): As the international women's day is drawing nearso several women oriented programs can be seen taking place in Delhi-NCR. Women's day which is celebrated across the globe on 8th March plays a significant role in reflecting, rejoicing and recharging women. To celebrate the womanhood, Miss India Tourism and Guinness World Record Holder Ishika Taneja was spotted at ALPS Beauty Clinic, Sector 14, bank market, Gurugram giving makeover to acid attack women survivors. On being asked why she came forward to give a makeover to acid attack victims, the makeup maestro and the executive director of Bharti Taneja's ALPS Group Ishika quoted "I want to turn the world into a beautiful haven, I love doing challenging makeup tasks. I chose these acid victims to explore their inner beauty and regain their lost confidence onto their faces so that these beautiful souls can kiss their new identities." To make the acid attack survivors women financially independent and confident some job opportunities and scholarships were also offered by Ishika Taneja. The celebrated beauty expert Ishika Taneja shared her views on violence against women - considering the violence as the most pervasive violations of human rights in the world and also one of the lease prosecuted crimes and yes, the greatest threats to lasting peace and development. Ishika believes that the violence against women is rooted in gender-based discrimination and social normal that perpetuate such violence. However, the best way to end this violence against girls and women is to prevent it from happening in the first place by addressing its root and structural causes. The talented young girl was recently crowned with Miss India Tourism title and now she will be seen representing India at an international platform of Miss World Tourism pageant. Ishika was also honored by the President of India, Pranab Mukherjee as "100 Women Achievers" on the Republic Day 2016. The young makeup maestro has worked with best Hollywood and Bollywood celebrities including Britney Spears, LMFAO, Ed Hardy, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Aamir Khan, Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Bruna Abdullah, Sunny Leone and many others.
