Rajnath Singh chairs high level meeting to review situation in North Eastern states

Guwahati (Assam) [India], May 16 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday reviewed the prevailing law and order situation in the north-eastern states. Director General of Police (DGPs) and chief secretaries of the north-eastern states are also attending the meeting with the National Security Agency (NSA) and home secretaries of the state. According to reports, the home ministry is worried about an extortion drive intensified by outlawed United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA) (I) and NDFB. The home ministry would also look into the Chinese connection of north-east rebel groups. (ANI)
