14 war veterans to participate in Tata Mumbai Marathon

Mumbai [India] January 20 (ANI): A team of 14 war veterans will take part in the Tata Mumbai Marathon on Sunday.

The team will be led by former vice chief of army staff, Lieutenant General Vijay Oberoi, a veteran of the 1965 war.

The Tata Marathon is being promoted as the largest marathon in Asia and also as the largest mass participation sports event in the continent.

The Mumbai Marathon is the richest race in India with a prize money worth 405,000 dollars. (ANI)
