Balasore (Odisha), Dec 10 (ANI) Agni-5, India's indigenously-developed intercontinental surface-to-surface nuclear capable ballistic missile, was test-fired on Monday from Abdul Kalam Island here off Odisha coast, Defence sources said.
The missile has a strike range of over 5,000 kms, which will enable India to balance out China's military muscle.
The missile has a payload capacity of 1,500 kg of high-explosive warhead and once inducted in the military, India will join an exclusive club of countries like the US, Russia, China, France and Britain which have intercontinental ballistic missile capabilities. (ANI)
