Allahabad student death: CM Yogi announces 20 lakh ex-gratia

Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh) [India], Feb. 12 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minitser Yogi Adityanath on Monday announced Rs. 20 lakh ex-gratia to the kin of the deceased Allahabad student Dileep Saroj.
Earlier in the day, a group of people torched a bus in a protest against the death of a law student of Allahabad University.
The 26-year-old Dilip Saroj succumbed to his injuries yesterday after being thrashed by a group of people during an argument in Allahabad's Katra Bazar on Saturday.
The Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday arrested the main accused in the case after a video of the incident went viral on social media.
The police also identified, Vijay Shankar, a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) as one of the attackers. (ANI)
