Khurda Road (Bhubaneswar) [India], Feb. 5 (ANI): Fifteen gold biscuits worth over Rs.76 lakh have been seized from a passenger at Bhubaneswar's Khurda Road Railway Station. The suspected smuggler has also been arrested.
"He was carrying a total of 15 gold biscuits with Myanmar markings. He had hidden it in the pockets of his inner vest and shoes," the DRI's official statement stated.
Each gold bar weighs nearly 2.5 kg.
Earlier yesterday, the DRI also arrested a passenger from Nellore railway station and seized more than 4-kg gold.
