Death toll in Rajasthan due to swine flu rises to 84

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Feb 2 (ANI): As many as 84 people have died due to swine flu across the state between January 1 to February 2.
During the same period, over 2,289 positive cases of swine flu have been reported from across the state.
Swine flu is an infection caused by one of several swine influenza viruses (SIV), with the H1N1 strain being the most common across the country.
H1N1 virus spreads when an individual touches an infected person or breathes droplets of coughs and sneezes that are in the air.
The symptoms are same as of the seasonal flu, also known as the viral fever. These include a cough, sore throat, and body ache.
Rajasthan is among the states, which has been reporting a large number of swine flu cases. Delhi, Haryana, Punjab and Maharashtra are among the states that have been majorly affected by the viral respiratory condition. (ANI)
