Give jobs to locals, will bring law if needed: Nitin Gadkari

Nagpur (Mumbai) [India], Mar 7 (ANI): Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said that locals should get preference in jobs and if required a strong legislation will be enacted for this purpose. 
“Bhumiputras (sons of the soil) should get employment in Multi-Modal International Passenger and Cargo Hub Airport (MIHAN) and strong legislation will be brought if needed,” he said during the ground-breaking ceremony of a new campus of India Institute of Management (IIM) in Nagpur.  
“As many as 1.25 lakh jobs will be generated through Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT) in the coming years. I have directed the officials to employ at least 80 per cent local people from Konkan region.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis was also present in the event. (ANI)
