Indo-Seychelles joint Army exercise to begin tomorrow

New Delhi [India], Feb 23 (ANI): The eighth joint military exercise between the Indian Army and Seychelles People's Defence Forces will begin from February 24 in Seychelles.

Indo-Seychelles counter insurgency/counter terrorism exercise is named 'Lamitye', which means friendship.

Colonel Rajesh Bisht, Military Advisor to Seychelles Peoples' Defence Force and Leader of Indian Army Training team paid courtesy call to Ambassador Barry Faure, Secretary of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Seychelles, Brig Leopold Payet, Chief of Defence Forces SPDF and Dr Ausaaf Sayeed, High Commissioner of India in Seychelles

The Indian team will comprise of four officers, five Junior Commissioned Officers and 36 Other Ranks (Total 45).

The team has soldiers from various arms and services. (ANI)
