More than Rs. 1 crore compensation to be paid to kin of Pulwama attack martyrs: CRPF

<p>New Delhi (India) Mar 8 (ANI):  A sum total of Rs. 1,01,50,000 would be paid to the kin of the <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a> personnel who lost their lives in the Pulwama terror attack, the Central Reserve Police Force (<a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a>) said on Friday.<br />"Out of this total amount for each kin, Rs. 35 lakhs is the ex-gratia amount announced by the centre, while Rs. 21 lakhs would risk funds, Rs. 15 lakhs is the amount raised from Bharat Ke Veer while Rs. 30,00,000 would be given out of the State Bank of India Para Military Salary Package Cover (SBI-PMSP Cover)," read a statement issued by the <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a>.<br />The families would also be given the ex-gratia amount announced by their respective native states to which the slain personnel belonged and the ex-gratia announced by the duty state.<br />Along with the financial benefits, the next of kin of the deceased have been offered jobs by the state government. "However, NOKs will also be entitled for Compassionate Appointment in <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a>, "the statement added.<br />Government and semi-government institutions have also volunteered to take care of the education of wards of <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a> martyrs. "Liberalized Pension Award (LPA) to all 40 NOKs equal to the total of the last basic pay and the Dearness Allowance (DA) drawn by the Martyr will be paid to them lifelong," the <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a> said.<br />On February 14, 40 <a href="/search?query=CRPF">CRPF</a> personnel were killed in a terror attack carried out by Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in South Kashmir's Pulwama.
