MP: Govt documents found burnt, DM denies papers related to Vyapam scam

Khandwa (Madhya Pradesh) [India], Feb 4 (ANI): Documents belonging to District Women and Child Development Department were found being burnt in the premises of the department here. The incident took place in Khandwa on February 2.
It was suspected that the burnt documents were related to the Vyapam scam.
However, Khandwa's District Magistrate Vishesh Garhpale denied that the damaged documents were related to recruitment. He said that the documents were being disposed of as these were ordinary papers.
"District women and child development officer told us that the documents were not related to recruitment, but were ordinary documents and were being disposed of. As soon as we got information through media, directions were given to investigate the matter," Garhpale told ANI.
A detailed report from the department has been ordered.
