MP: Two students kidnapped at gunpoint from school bus

Chitrakoot (Madhya Pradesh), [India], Feb 12 (ANI): Two students were kidnapped at a gunpoint by two miscreants from their school bus near Nayagaon in Chitrakoot district, Madhya Pradesh, on Tuesday.

According to police, the kidnapped students are 5-year-old twin brothers of Sadguru Public School.

Soon after receiving the information about the incident, the police rushed to the spot and learned through the CCTV footage how the twins were kidnapped at a gunpoint from the school bus. The two accused, who came on a motorbike, stopped the vehicle near Nayagaon and took away both the students around 12:40 pm.

"We are investigating the matter, our teams are alert and we have informed other district police officials as well. The reason behind the kidnapping is yet to be ascertained," said Satna Assistant Superintendent of Police, Gautam Singh Solanki

"Roads have been blocked off in the area as an investigation is conducted," he added. (ANI)
