Siwan (Bihar) [India], Feb 2 (ANI): Siwan police on Saturday recovered a pistol during the raids conducted earlier today at the residences of the four friends of Yusuf who were present with him at the party last night.
Yusuf, the nephew of former RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin, was shot dead in Siwan yesterday.
Sharing details of the incident, Superintendent of Police (SP) Naveen Chandra Jha had said that Yusuf was shot on his chest.
"He was rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead. At the accident spot, we have found one empty gun and three bullets. We are now conducting the investigation at the places nearby the accident site," he added.
Shahabuddin was elected four times as a Member of Parliament (MP) from Siwan. He was imprisoned for 11 years for his involvement in the murder of Rajiv Roshan.
Less than a week ago a Bihar court framed charges against Shahabuddin and seven others in connection with journalist Rajdev Ranjan's murder case. (ANI)
