Railway police recover explosives from Guwahati Railway Station

Guwahati (Assam) [India], Feb 4 (ANI): A large quantity of explosives, including gelantin sticks, detonators and fuse wire, was recovered by Government Railway Police (GRP) in two separate incidents from Guwahati Railway Station and the Avadh-Assam Express in Assam's Morigaon district on Monday.
Speaking to ANI, Officer in Charge of GRP in Guwahati, Mahesh Baishya said, "We receive the information about an unclaimed bag lying at the Platform Number Three of the railway station. A team of officers rushed to the spot and recovered a bag of explosives."
One of the bags contained 440 gelatin sticks, 700 detonators and three bundles of fuse wire, said Baishya.
Another bag of explosives with 160 gelatin sticks and 500 detonators was similarly recovered from a coach of the Avadh-Assam Express at Jagiroad Railway Station at 7.05 AM.
The accused has not been identified yet.
A case has been registered and the police is investigating the matter. (ANI)
