Rajasthan govt declares 5555 villages as 'drought-affected'

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India], Mar 6 (ANI): The Rajasthan Government on Wednesday announced that 5555 villages of nine districts are deficient after being hit by famine.
It has sanctioned the deferment of land revenue for six months from November 19, 2018.
Out of 5,555 villages, 2741 are in Barmer, 189 in Bikaner, 806 in Jaisalmer, 680 in Jalore, 554 in Jodhpur, 171 in Hanumangarh, 80 in Pali, 163 in Churu and 171 in Nagaur. (ANI)
