New Delhi [India], July 20 (ANI): Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday hit out at Congress leader Shashi Tharoor on his 'Hindu Taliban">Taliban' remark. He wondered whether people with such mentality should live in India.
Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Rajnath Singh said, "Kya hum chahte hain ki Pakistani roopi zehniyat Hindustan mein zinda rahe? Hindu-Pakistan, Hindu-Taliban">Taliban ki baat karte hain, desh ko kahan le jana chate hain? (Do we want people with Pakistani mentality live in the soil of India? People are talking about Hindu-Pakistan, Hindu-Taliban">Taliban, where are they taking this country to)", Singh wondered.
Tharoor, earlier hit out at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and questioned whether they are trying to start Taliban">Taliban in Hinduism.
"They are asking me to go to Pakistan. Who has given them the right to decide that I am not a Hindu like them and I don't have the right to stay in the country? Have they started a Taliban">Taliban in Hinduism?" Shashi Tharoor had said while addressing a public gathering here on Tuesday.
Tharoor's remark came a day after he accused the BJP Yuva Morcha of vandalising his constituency office in Kerala's Thiruvananthapuram.
He alleged that offensive slogans were raised against him while asking him to go to Pakistan. He also alleged that his office was damaged. (ANI)
