New Delhi [India], July 24 (ANI): Home Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday assured that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government will fulfill all commitments made by former prime minister Manmohan Singh under the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014.
"I want to emphasise that we will fulfill all commitments made by former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and our government," Singh said in Rajya Sabha.
The Home Minister's statement comes after a Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Y S Chowdary alleged that justice was not being given to Andhra Pradesh in terms of granting Special Category Status (SCS) to it.
Singh further noted that Andhra Pradesh was being given Rs 22,123 crore as revenue deficit spread over five years ending financial year 2019-20, according to the media reports. .(ANI)
