2019 elections between aristocracy vs Chowkidar, says BJP

New Delhi [India], Mar 29 (ANI): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday said that the Lok Sabha election is being fought between aristocracy and 'chowkidar.'
Talking to media persons in Ayodhya earlier in the day, Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said, "My family has worked against the Raja, Maharajas. We removed their privy purses. My family never considered itself as a Raja-Maharaja."
The BJP criticised Priyanka over her statement in a tweet in Hindi which roughly translates as, "You can speak as many lies, but the people know that the fight in 2019 elections is between aristocracy vs Chowkidar."

The BJP is carrying out the ‘Main bhi Chowkidar’ campaign during this election in a response to the Opposition’s ‘Chowkidar chor hai’, a jibe aimed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The seven-phase Lok Sabha elections are scheduled to be held from April 11 till May 19. The result will be announced on May 23. (ANI)
