New Delhi [India], July 27 (ANI): With the latest political ruckus in Bihar, the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) on Thursday lashed out at Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stating that the recent episode in the state politics has brought his dubious character to fore. Speaking to ANI, CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury said, "Whatever happened in Bihar is was very unfortunate. The Bihar CM joined hands with the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) which helped him defeat the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). He (Nitish) has got a record. He is taking oath as Chief Minister sixth time in 12 years. So every two years, he takes the oath which proves his dubious character." "If Nitish wanted to make a decision, he should have taken a stand. He should have dissolved the Assembly, and called for a fresh election. He should have gone to the people and then come back as Chief Minister. But becoming the Chief Minister once again like this is ridiculous," he said. Bihar saw a major midnight political drama soon after Nitish Kumar resigned yesterdayas Bihar Chief Minister to protest against his Deputy and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Supremo Lalu Yadav's son Tejashwi Yadav's stubbornness to stay in the Cabinet despite being named in an F.I.R. over the corruption charges. However, Tejashwi put the onus on Nitish and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for the latest political development in the state. Tejashwi said that political vendetta against him exposed the Opposition's viciousness. "I delivered manifold than what was expected of me. My performance perturbed our ally and the BJP. The vendetta against me exposes their viciousness," he tweeted. The RJD on Thursday morning was forced to cancel its protest march to Raj Bhavan to oppose Kumar's swearing-in ceremony due to the probationary orders. (ANI)
