New Delhi, July 31 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday advised the nation to stop taking antibiotic without consulting the doctor during monsoon. "Happy about monsoon but with that also comes some illnesses. Few days back we were worrying about drought situation, now where on one side we hear about monsoon, on other side we hear about floods. Stop taking antibiotic without consulting the doctor. This shortcut should not be used. It can only give you momentary relief," Prime Minister Modi said while addressing the nation in the 22nd edition of his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme. He also urged to complete the full course of antibiotics, as not completing it or taking an overdose would be harmful. "When it comes to antibiotics, please complete the full course. Not completing the course or an overdose, both are harmful. We have to be careful and take precautionary measures to fight those illnesses," he added. The Prime Minister also asserted that both state governments and the Centre are working closely to help the flood-affected people. (ANI)
