Hyderabad(Telangana)[India], Feb. 25(ANI): Former finance minister P. Chidambaram on Friday said that India has nearly lost Kashmir. "I have written five columns, I have written it on different dates. But if you read the five columns together you will get that sinking feeling that Kashmir is nearly lost. Many of you may not believe me, but Kashmir is nearly lost today," he said. Chidambaram said that Dalits and minorities live in fear and students along with media has shrunk into fear. "I don't venture into foreign policy. Parliament has become disfunctional. We must debate without bitterness. That is the sense of democracy. If we fail democracy then what are we leaving for children," he added. At an event in Hyderabad, Chidambaram had reportedly answered a question about Jammu and Kashmir, saying he felt the situation there was grim, and that a series of mistakes were made which were "almost too late" to correct now.(ANI)
