Indore (Madhya Pradesh) [India], April 25 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a senior citizen was allegedly thrashed by three traffic police personnel for breaking traffic rules in Madhya Pradesh's Indore district. Radhesham Somani was repeatedly thrashed by traffic constable T.I. Ojha despite pleading the officer not to assault him more. When his friend trying to capture the entire incident, Ojha snatched his phone and threw it away. "I was coming towards Rajender Nagar when the traffic police stopped my vehicle and informed me that I had come on the wrong side of the road. I apologised for that and they said that I have to pay a fine to which I agreed. But when I pointed out to them that they are avoiding some people who are violating traffic rules, they got enraged and started thrashing me," he said. Somani later approached Rajendra Police Station to register a complaint against Ojha. However, the station In-charge refused to file the complaint and instead threatened him to expunge the complaint. Later, the matter was apprised to Deputy Inspector of General of Indore Harinarayanachari Mishra and he ordered an inquiry into the matter. "I have ordered an inquiry into the matter and asked to complete the investigation within 24 hours," Mishra told ANI. (ANI)
