Petrol price slashed by Rs. 3.77, diesel by Rs 2.91 per litre from midnight

New Delhi [India], Mar. 31 (ANI): The prices of petrol and diesel have been slashed by Rs. 3.77 and Rs. 2.91 per litre which will be effective from Friday midnight. Following the cut, the new prices stand at 67.25 (approx) and 56.11 for petrol and diesel respectively. The last fuel price revision was on January 15 when the petrol price was hiked by 42 paisa per litre and diesel by Rs 1.03 per litre, respectively. The current level of international product prices of Petrol & Diesel and INR-USD exchange rate warrant decrease in selling price of Petrol and Diesel, the impact of which is being passed on to the consumers with this price revision. The movement of prices in the international oil market and INR-USD exchange rate shall continue to be monitored closely and developing trends of the market will be reflected in future price changes. Meanwhile, Pakistan Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the price of petrol and diesel would be raised by Rs 1 per litre. With the increased prices, Petrol would be sold at Rs 74 per litre and Diesel at Rs 84 in Islamabad, reports GeoNews. (ANI)
