Police questioning accused, assures action in Rohtak rape case

Rohtak (Haryana), July 18 (ANI): The Rohtak Police on Monday said the questioning of two of the rape accused is currently underway, adding that they would take necessary action as more facts come out. "The police are certainly investigating the case. We are questioning the two accused. One of the accused has also submitted the CCTV footage. We are examining whatever the accused have said in defence. We will take necessary action as more facts come to the fore," Superintendent of Police Rakesh Arya said. "These are the two men Amit and Jagmohan, who were earlier arrested. We will quiz the other three as well," he added. The Dalit girl was allegedly gang-raped again earlier on Wednesday by the same five accused in Rohtak. The victim, a student of Rohtak's women college, was gang-raped by five men in Bhiwani three years ago, after which the family shifted to Rohtak. (ANI)
