7th dimension for our vision aims at outer skies: Piyush Goyal

New Delhi [India], Feb 1 (ANI): Underlining the success of Indian space programme, Finance Minister Piyush Goyal on Friday said that the seventh dimension of the government's vision for the next decade aims at the outer skies.
“Our space programme – Gaganyaan, India becoming the launch-pad of satellites for the World and placing an Indian astronaut into space by 2022 reflect this dimension of our vision,” the Finance Minister said while presenting the Interim Budget in the Lok Sabha.
The government has allocated the budget for three major schemes of the Department of Space.
In Space Technology, the budget estimate has been revised to Rs 7,483 crore in 2019-20 from Rs 6,576 crore in 2018-19.
The Space Applications received a budget estimate of Rs 1,885 crore from Rs 1,746 crore last time.
The Finance Minister has allocated a budget estimate of Rs 884 crore in this budget as compared to Rs 412 crore in the last budget to the INSAT Satellite Systems. (ANI)
