Dubai [UAE], Mar 29 (ANI): Aaron Finch, Australia’s limited-overs captain, has said that it will be 'bloody hard' to select a squad for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2019 as Steve Smith and David Warner are set to make their comeback following the end of their respective 12-month bans.
"It is bloody hard. No matter who misses out on the squad. Especially when the side is playing so well, it's going to be difficult. I will definitely have my views. Justin [Langer] and I, we talk all the time, every day, about selections and team make-ups, different scenarios and things like that," International Cricket Council (ICC) quoted Finch as saying.
Finch, who is showing an impressive form, is leading Australia team and achieved recent successes against India and Pakistan. Whole Australian squad is showing a stunning form bringing Finch and Australian selectors in dilemma to pick up their squad for the forthcoming World Cup as they cannot afford to drop their most experienced players, Steve Smith and David Warner.
Therefore, to make room for them they will have to drop a few players from their current squad.
The 32-year-old admitted that their decision will definitely disappoint a few deserving players. "Whatever balance you go with in that 15-man squad, there's going to be some very unlucky blokes out there," he said.
Pakistan, today, won the toss and elected to field first in their fourth ODI against Australia at Dubai International Stadium. (ANI)
