Harare, July 21 (ANI): Amid widespread protests over rapidly declining economy in the African nation, the New Zealand cricket team have finally arrived in Zimbabwe for a two-match Test series. The Kane Williamson-led side, which underwent a week-long conditioning camp in South Africa, will play a three-day warm-up game in Harare starting on Friday, ESPNcricinfo reported. Earlier this month, New Zealand Cricket had stated that they were monitoring the security situation in Zimbabwe where massive demonstrations were held over lack of jobs and unpaid wages. Normal life was thrown into turmoil as a day-long nationwide strike, triggered by an economic crisis, closed offices, shops, schools and some government departments last week. The first Test will be played on July 28 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo and will play the second match at the same venue on August 6. (ANI)
