Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), [U.S.A.], Apr. 17 (ANI): Ten passengers aboard an American airline were injured after the plane's engine reportedly exploded and it made an emergency landing here on Tuesday.
The Southwest Airlines aircraft carrying 143 passengers and five crewmembers made the emergency landing after one of its engines exploded, according to Fox News.
According to NBC10, one of the passengers was "partially sucked out" of one of the plane's windows when the engine exploded.
She was pulled back in by other passengers and has been admitted to a hospital with head trauma.
"One passenger, a woman, was partially.was drawn out towards the outside of the plane.was pulled back in by other passengers," Fox News quoted Todd Bauer, the father of one of the passengers, as saying.
Though the reports pointed to engine failure, the airlines said the flight was diverted "because of an operational event". (ANI)
