Nepal PM Oli meets Congress leaders

New Delhi [India], Apr 6 (ANI): Nepal Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli met a delegation of Congress leaders here on Friday.

Oli, who is on a three-day visit to India, having arrived earlier on Friday, met Congress President Rahul Gandhi, former Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and former Union Minister Anand Sharma.

Nepal's Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted a picture of the meeting on their official Twitter handle.

"Delegation of Indian National Congress led by party President Hon. Mr Rahul Gandhi called on the Rt Hon Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli today. Delegation included former Prime Minister of India H.E. Dr. Manmohan Singh," it wrote on the micro-blogging site.

The Nepal Prime Minister will be holding a meeting with the Nepali business community of both the countries on Friday, followed by a diplomatic reception by the Embassy of India.

On Saturday, Oli will attend a ceremonial reception and inspect a guard of honour at the Rashtrapati Bhawan will meet President Ram Nath Kovind and Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu. He will pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat.

He will then hold official talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and exchange views on matters of mutual interests.

The Nepal Prime Minister will also visit Pantnagar in Uttarakhand and attend a programme organised at Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. (ANI)
