Washington D.C. [U.S.A.], May 11 (ANI): Former FBI director James Comey has been invited to testify on Russia before the Senate Intelligence Committee. The panel's leading Democrat, Sen. Mark Warner, said that he has asked Comey, who was fired by the White House a day before, to testify before the committee next week, The Washington Times reports. "My hope is that he'll take advantage of this opportunity," Warner said. Warner and committee chairman, Sen. Richard Burr, reportedly met on Monday Comey and urged him to speed up the agency's investigation into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 presidential elections. It's reported that Comey acknowledged the probe was moving slowly. (ANI)
