Parachinar blast: At least 12 killed, over 30 injured

Islamabad [Pakistan], Jan. 21 (ANI): At least 12 people were killed in a blast at the vegetable market in Kurram Agency's Parachinar area on Saturday morning. The blast ripped through the market inside Eidgah Bazaar while it was crowded with people shopping for vegetables, leaving 12 people dead and over 30 injured, reports the Dawn. The injured were shifted to agency headquarters hospital. Kurram is one of the most sensitive tribal areas as it borders three Afghan provinces and at one point was one of the key routes for militant movement across the border. It has witnessed scores of attacks and kidnappings for ransom incidents in the past several years. More details to follow. (ANI)
