Islamabad [Pakistan], Dec. 12 (ANI): Pakistan International Airlines has announced to temporarily suspend its ATR operation. The airline has decided to keep all 10 ATR aircraft grounded after a decision by Civil Aviation Authority to hold shakedown tests of PIA's entire ATR fleet. "Temporary suspension of ATR operation will particularly affect PIA's flight operation to smaller airports like Gwadar, Turbat, Panjgur, Mohenjo-daro, Zhob, Bahawalpur, DG Khan, Chitral and Gilgit," a press statement by the airline said. The airline advised passengers to check status of their flights from PIA Call Center at 111-786-786 and regretted the inconvenience. A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight travelling to Islamabad from Chitral had crashed near Abbottabad on December 7 in which all the 48 people on board were killed. (ANI)
