Turkmenistan Deputy PM Rasit holds dialogue with Vice-President Naidu

New Delhi [India], August 14 (ANI): Turkmenistan Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Rasit Öwezgeldiýewiç Meredow held a meeting with Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu in New Delhi on Monday. Meredow, who is on a three-day visit to India from August 13, met External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues. The Turkmenistan minister also held a meeting with Minister of Finance and Defence Arun Jaitley with discuss ways to expand & deepen bilateral cooperation. Sushma also held delegation-level talks with Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Meredov. The Turkmenistan Deputy PM also signed the Protocol for the 6th Session of Inter Governmental Commission with India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Turkmenistan in July 2015 at the invitation of the President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Both the leaders discussed bilateral relations as well as regional and international issues. The leaders welcomed the successful conclusion of the 5th meeting of the Turkmen-India Intergovernmental Joint Commission on trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation, held in Ashgabat on April 8, 2015.
