“The visit is taking place during the 70th year of the establishment of formal diplomatic relations between India and Argentina. It follows the successful visit of the Prime Minister to Argentina for the G20 summit, where he had a very productive meeting with President Macri,” Kumar said.
President Macri will be accompanied by First Lady Juliana Awada, Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies, Emilio Monzo, Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Jorge Faurie, Government Secretary of Modernization Andrés Ibarra, Government Secretary of Agriculture, Luis Etchevehere, and other senior officials.
President Macri will also meet his Indian counterpart, President Ram Nath Kovind, who will host a banquet in his honour.
“This visit will provide an opportunity to the two sides to review progress in bilateral ties and to explore new avenues of cooperation,” a statement from the MEA read. (ANI)
