"After a deadly terrorist attack against #Azerbaijan's Embassy in Tehran, the Embassy staff & their family members have been evacuated from #Iran. They've just arrived in Baku," according to a tweet by Nasimi Aghayev, the ambassador of Azerbaijan to Germany.
As per the news agency, the attacker, carrying a machine gun and opened fire at an employee of the security service of the embassy. Two others were also reported injured in the incident.
The visit of the UNGA President Csaba Korosi who has been invited by the Indian government will likely begin on January 29 and will include an address to the Indian Council of World Affairs, a foreign policy think tank. Korosi will also visit China and Japan shortly after his India visit.
The Azerbaijan ambassador to India congratulated India for its G-20 presidency and said: "The topic of chairmanship "One Earth, One Family, One Future," shows the role of the developing world in shaping the global agenda."
