A person was arrested and a juvenile detained for allegedly robbing a 55-year-old man's phone at Pratap Nagar Metro Station in the national capital, informed police.
Two people were arrested, and cash worth Rs 40 lakh was recovered, as the Delhi Police busted a major robbery gang which was planning to flee from Delhi after committing the robbery.
Officials of Delhi Police on Tuesday nabbed two juveniles, accused of robbing a shop owner at gunpoint under the limits of Prem Nagar Police Station in the national capital, police said.
According to police sources, the arrested man revealed during the interrogation that about three weeks back he had watched 'The Secret Agent' film on his phone and following which he hatched the plan to commit robbery.
According to police officials, the accused, identified as Aftab Ahmad, was previously involved in arms smuggling, robbery and other offences in Rohini and Outer North Delhi.
The apprehended minor belonged to a gang of teenagers who allegedly fired upon innocent people just to assert their dominance in the area and gain notoriety. All members of the gang are reportedly juveniles, officials said.
