Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Kachhi, Mehmood Notezai, said that the preliminary evidence suggests it was a suicide attack, however, the exact nature of the blast could be ascertained after the investigations.
The main attack had taken place on 14 February 2019 when is a suicide, a bomber rammed his vehicle into a CRPF convoy bus in which 40 personnel lost their lives and many others were injured.
"The policemen should stay away from our war with the slave army, otherwise the attacks on the safe havens of the top police officers will continue," TTP said in an English-language statement.
Without naming the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), he said that security forces were fighting against the terrorists last night as they were brought back and rehabilitated nearly a year ago.
According to the security officials, the suicide attacker was present in the front row during the prayer when he exploded himself. The militant outfit, Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), claimed responsibility for the attack.
