Google employees plan walkout to protest over sexual misconduct revelations

Updated:1 month, 1 week ago IST

New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): Some Google employees are threatening to leave their jobs as they are not satisfied with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Sundar Pichai’s mishandling of alleged sexual harassment by the executives. The workers are planning to conduct protest on November 1. They have also prepared a list of requests for the company to consider. More than 200 Google engineers are participating. Reportedly, Pichai tried to reassure employees on October 26 after the New York Times reported that the company paid a $90 million exit package to Android chief Andy Rubin after a worker accused him of coercing her into performing oral sex in a hotel room in 2013. Now, employees are upset, taking the claims seriously and expressing support for victims who are named.
