2 years after demonetisation, Gujarat police seizes Rs 3.5 crore in old currency

Navsari (Gujarat), Feb 11 (ANI): Despite the old currency notes of 500 and 1000 denomination being banned since November 8, 2016 by the central government, the banned currency notes are still being recovered in large numbers. Now, the Gujarat Police seized over Rs 3.5 crore of old currency in Navsari and held four people in the connection with possessing the banned notes. The police seized the banned currency notes from a car, and excise officials have been informed about the same.
