Mumbai, Aug 14 (ANI): Khadi Gramodyog Kora Kendra in Mumbai’s Borivali is buzzing with buyers day before India’s 72nd Independence Day celebrations to be held on Wednesday. This center boasts of being the oldest makers of national flags, with sales peaking on Independence Day and Republic Day specifically. They resorted to manufacturing only khadi-cloth tricolour flags restraining the use making of plastic flags. This center, which was founded in 1954, boasts of quality and heritage, attracting enthusiastic customers in large numbers. The tricolour cloth process is as per Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) prescribed and other government approved rules and regulations. Shop workers say that people are happy to buy national flags from here because they get ISI marked products from us. Flags of all sizes and prices are made at the Khadi Gramodyog Kora Kendra, catering to varying demands within the market.
