New Delhi, Apr 27 (ANI): Resident doctors of AIIMS went on an indefinite strike, demanding suspension of a professor, Chief of RP Centre, Dr Atul Kumar who inappropriately slapped a junior in front of staff members and other doctors. Dr Harjit Singh Bhatti, President, AIIMS Resident Doctors Association, told ANI, “He slapped him because his phone rang in the middle of the session. However, this isn’t the first time. We have heard from other female residents that he does not behave properly with anyone. He often verbally abuses the lady doctors who silently tolerate it because they have to think of a career ahead of them.”
