Jammu (J&K), Aug 04 (ANI): Under a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signed between Amul, the largest milk corporative of India, and the government of Jammu and Kashmir a high-tech milk plant has been set up in Jammu. In this modern plant, milk is processed and packaged in a modern tempering process. This milk is taken from farmers from different parts of Jammu. After a test of the milk, appropriate price is given to the farmers. The milk is then brought to the factory in special temperature controlled trucks. A process of strict quality control in which milk is sent in four phases, is followed at the plant. Here milk is processed and packaged in packets. The dairy farmers are even given a part of the profits from the sale of the milk as bonus.
